MHF Localized Monster Names

This is a (incomplete, in progress) listing of the localized names I would give to the monsters in Monster Hunter Frontier if they showed up in mainline (after Espinas showed up in MH: Rise: Sunbreak).

These are not transliterations, for the most part, as that would be just boring and pretty much everyone in fanon does transliterations already. Instead, I try to create new names to follow a sense of “sounds Monster-ish” with a slight tint of “sounds Pokémon-ish” since that's the fandom where I tend to move around more, all the while using some of the same naming methods I use for fakémon.

Anorupatisu	Narvopolarza	1	from narwhal the animal, and polar given its environment.

Diorekkusu	Diaedrex	1	“Diae” from “Diamond” and from “Dielectric”.

Gurenzeburu	Goressarbre	1	to gore, what it does with its horn, and “sabre” / “sable”, the weapon. “Gore” not necessarily related to Gore Magala.
Hyujikiki	Hergeroth	1	hedgehog the spiny animal, and the similarity to Barioth.

Zerureusu	Rathastrof	1	from its relationship to the Raths, astra as in light and -of[e] as in catastrophe.
Elder and Above
Disufiroa	Disphyrreon	1	from “phyrric victory” and from Alatreon, the Black Dragon Disufiroa is related to. Yes it also sounds like an Eeveelution.
